Le Camembert de Portneuf, from Fromagerie Alexis de Portneuf.

This soft cheese with a fine bloomy rind is made from pasteurized milk and cream. It has a creamy and supple interior with a melting texture and an aromatic and distinctive flavour.

The Camembert cheese is said to have been invented during the French Revolution, when a priest from the Brie region, carrying with him the recipe for a local cheese, found refuge in the home of Marie Harel in Camembert, Normandy. The farm lady followed the recipe using the milk of her Norman cows, which resulted in the creation of the characterful Camembert cheese.

Le Brie d'Alexis, from Fromagerie Alexis de Portneuf.

This soft cheese with a bloomy rind is made from pasteurized milk and cream. This double-cream Brie has a supple, melting texture and a mild nutty aroma.

Over a century ago, Alexis founded the village of Saint-Raymond de Portneuf. Through the legacy of his passion and expertise, he started a bloodline of pioneers, builders, farmers, and finally, cheese makers. As a tribute to this great man who inspired generations of passionate artisans, they created this fabulous Brie with a nutty aroma.

Le Camembert des Camarades, from Fromagerie Alexis de Portneuf.

This soft cheese, with its bloomy rind and butter, nut and corn flavour, is made from pasteurized milk and cream.

It is said that when a certain French artisan came to live in the Portneuf region, he was gripped by nostalgia and transported back to the countryside of his childhood. Inspired by these sweet memories, he created this superb Camembert whose taste evokes a rediscovered land.

Le Brise du Matin, Brie from Fromagerie Alexis de Portneuf.

This soft cheese with a tender and mild bloomy rind is made from pasteurized milk and cream. Its creamy texture has flavours of butter, fresh mushrooms and hazelnuts that become more pronounced with age. Also available in a lighter version.

It is said that there was, in a small parish in the Portneuf region, a lady that lived to be 107 years old. One day, her nephew asked her what the secret to her longevity was. She smiled and told him that every morning, she would enjoy a piece of delicious cheese on country-style bread and a great bowl of fresh air on the patio of the local café.

Le Calendos, Camembert de la Fromagerie Alexis de Portneuf.

This soft cheese with a bloomy rind is made from pasteurized milk and cream.  Its surface ripening gives it a fuller flavour and a more distinct aroma as it ages. Under the beautiful white rind, this double cream Camembert's interior is supple and a homogenous creamy yellow colour.

Le Calendos adds colour and personality to your meals!
